Electronic Arts a lansat în toamna anului 2008 , exclusiv pentru PC, Crysis Warhead, un nou capitol din seria Crysis, ce-l va avea ca protagonist pe sergentul "Psycho" Sikes, povestea fiind paralelă cu cea din Crysis şi prezentând evenimentele dintr-o nouă perspectivă. Dezvoltat de studiourile Crytek Budapest, Crysis Warhead va fi bazat pe o versiune îmbunătăţită şi mai bine optimizată a engine-ului CryEngine 2, urmând să includă noi arme, vehicule, cât şi îmbunătăţiri pentru modul multiplayer.
